Focus of BiofabTE Lab
Biofabrication and Tissue Engineering Lab at IITH focuses on developing innovative tissue engineered products, drug delivery platforms and in vitro tissue/organ models with 3D bioprinting technology. We at BioFabTE Lab have a wide variety of 3D printers that work on various principles and employ different kinds of materials. Based on our requirement, depending on the application we use a particular printer and corresponding material to develop in-vitro models.
Apart from fabricating models, our expertise also lies in the development of bio-inks for 3D bioprinting applications.
We also have a well-established cell culture facility, which enables us to work with a variety of cells to use them in 3D bioprinting applications for various research works. The lab is well equipped with biosafety cabinets, incubator, liquid nitrogen storage to efficiently work with various primary cells, stem cells and cell lines.
